Join Local 959

Joining Local 959 will take you on the road to success!  Visit or contact any of the Hall locations where staff are available to answer your questions.  You will be asked to complete a membership application and pay a hiring hall fee to join.  After you have completed this process you can bid on open jobs you qualify for.  Job calls are at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. in Anchorage and 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in Fairbanks.

Local 959 Events

The statewide offices of Teamsters Local 959 will be reopening on Monday, June 1, 2020, for the Dues office and Dispatch Job Calls.

In accordance with state & city mandates, if your business may be settled by phone or online, we encourage you to do so.

When visiting a Local 959 office you must review posted guidelines and requirements before entering the building(s).

Additional instructions per department will also be posted inside our building(s).

June’s General Membership Meetings have been canceled.


The Jesse L. Carr Charity Golf Tournament has been postponed until Thursday, July 30, 2020.

Spring Shop Steward School – CANCELED

After careful consideration following increased concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we have made the decision to postpone our May 2020 Spring Shop Steward School until this Fall – specifically, October 10 & 11, 2020. We will continue to follow CDC recommendations, government mandates, and city orders in support of the health & safety of our communities. This rapidly-evolving situation is concerning to us all. Should more changes and adjustments be required, we will keep you notified. Your patience is appreciated and we ask that you continue to practice good hand-washing and social distancing. Take care and be kind. We look forward to gathering with you all soon.
