Job Details The plumber performs preventative maintenance in Anchorage School District (ASD) buildings. Work includes ordering materials, cleaning, unclogging, & minor heating repairs. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, minimum 3 yrs. experience within the past 5 yrs. in the field of plumbing & work experience must evidence ability to perform tasks assigned, must obtain AK class B CDL with general knowledge test endorsement within 6 months of hire, ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with others. Preferred: knowledge of standard plumbing practices, including but not limited to installation, repair, or replacement of domestic & sanitary fixtures, cleaning, repairing & grading of sewer lines, repair & replacement of piping & components of heating systems, maintenance & repair of plumbing systems such as changing pump motors, valves, couplers, water lines, etc., perform tasks assigned from plans, prints, specifications & established maintenance procedures.
